Joe is our current president and founder of our company. He has spent his entire life in the electrical industry and built this company on the notion of doing things right and with the highest standards every time. Joe keeps on top of all the work we do and makes sure the company continues to build on the foundation he built over the past 25 years. Joe's experience comes from the ground up as he began in the industry as a graduate of the apprentice program in 1972. Joe then worked 10 years at Dynalectric, one of the most reputable electrical union contractors in the Maryland and D.C. markets. He learned the business working on and eventually running some of the biggest projects in our nation’s capital during the 1970’s. Joe is a member of NECA and actively serves on the membership committee.

Ed brings 27 years of experience in the electrical construction trade that began in 1981. He is a graduate of the JATC and began his career at JE Richards immediately following. Ed has successfully climbed the career ladder at JE Richards having been a journeyman, foreman, estimator, project manager and ultimately our executive vice president. Ed is responsible for our day to day construction operations and has been able to take our company to the next level. The work ethic, management style and technical talent Ed owns and practices, is a very valuable asset and a large part of why we have enjoyed the success we have over the past two decades. Ed is a real leader and widely respected in the industry. He is very modest when it comes to leveraging his professional achievements. He attended Montgomery College.

Gil joined the JE Richards team in 1997 and has over 25 years of managerial accounting experience in all facets of accounting in both the public and private sectors. He has spent the past 20 years as a corporate controller in the construction industry working for both general contractors and subcontractors. Gil is experienced in multi corporate environments as well as partnerships and joint ventures. Gil is a certified Public accountant and a graduate of Roanoke College and holds a B.A. Degree. His graduate accounting studies were performed at George Mason University.

Dean joined JE Richards in 1998 and has over 30 years of combined field and management experience. He acted as Lead Manager for a several large Technical Projects including Data Centers, Biotech Labs, Healthcare facilities, and Backup Power installations. Dean is directly responsible for managing Service Accounts as well as maintaining relationships with a variety of long term customers. He is an active participant in the Local NECA chapter. As a former Outside General Superintendent, his experiences led him to spearhead the formation of the local NECA Contractors Electrical Superintendents Group. The group’s mission is to share information and improve Labor Management in the Electrical Industry. Dean is also involved with the Washington Building Congress. Dean served as the 2007-2008 Chairman of the prestigious WBC Craftsmanship Awards Program and currently serves as a member on the WBC Board of Governors. He holds Master Electrician Certifications in the States of Virginia and Maryland as well as the District of Columbia. |

With over 20 years of seasoning, Chad is experienced in evaluating tasks and identifying their associated hazards. In his current role, Chad is responsible for all safety relations and managing over 400 electrical workers. Chad has successfully implemented employee training programs including OSHA 10, OSHA 30, CPR, First Aid, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Excavation and Trenching, Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Aerial Lift Safety, Scaffold Safety, Arc Flash Protection, and Traffic Protection. Corporate initiatives by Chad include the Fleet Safety Program, the Safety Inspection Program, the Respiratory Protection Program, and a Hazard Communication ProgramChad is recognized by general contractors, corporate executives, and business owners for identifying and resolving job-related hazards and skilled in negotiating disputes between owners, contractors, and employee. |

Danny began his career at JER in 1984 as an IBEW Local #26 Apprentice rising quickly to the level of foreman within a short period of time following completion of the program. After gaining technical experience in all aspects of electrical, fire alarm, computer, UPS, and telecommunications systems installation. Danny moved into the position of Senior Purchasing Agent in 1992. This solid industry background made Danny a natural choice when an estimating position became available in 1996. As manager of the department, Danny routinely oversees estimates of projects in the 8-figure range including design-build opportunities. |
